A Gala concert of world ballet stars will take place at the Latvian National Opera (Riga) on August 24, 2005. Such well known dancers as Vladimir Derevyanko (Dresden), Egle Shpokaite (The National Latvian Opera), Irma Nioradze (Maryinsky Theatre), Andrei Uvarov and Galina Stepanenko (Bolshoi Theatre) will participate in the gala. Also a piece especially choreographed by Maurice Bejart “Ave Maya” will be performed.
The musical accompaniment will be done by Laureates of International Competitions Ekaterina Mechetina (piano) and Boris Lifanovsky (cello).
