To celebrate his 50th birthday the world famous ballet dancer and producer Andris Liepa performed the role of Shahryar in the Les Saison Russes ballet Scheherazade. Says Liepa, “St. Petersburg has played a significant role in my career; I first danced on this stage in the 1990s, in the role of Solor from La Bayadere together with Tatyana Terekhova. It’s hard to express how happy I was.”
